Mount Lebanon Governorate  is one of the eight governorates of Lebanon. Its capital is Baabda. It is divided into six districts.

I will only list few regions that I ‘ve visited and got impressed by their views.

– The waterfall at Afqa is the source for the River Adonis and is located on a 600-foot (180 m) bluff that forms an immense natural amphitheatre. The river emerges from a large limestone cave in the cliff wall which stores and channels water from the melted snow of the mountains before releasing it into springs and streams below. At Afqa, several watery threads flow from the cave to form numerous cataracts, a scene of great beauty.

Akoura is a picturesque village in Jbeil, Mount Lebanon. This region is famous for its beautiful circular ponds, delicious juicy apples, and mesmerizing nature. It’s a popular destination among campers and hikers. So, if you want to discover Lebanon’s hidden gems, make sure to visit Akoura! It has a lot to offer!

The Chill Hill Experience is a unique, friendly and inspiring open space situated in the middle of vast lands with lakes at Wata El Joz. It is Cozy place where personalized A-Frame cabins are ready to welcome you for a very romantic and nice get away!

Roman Temples of Faqra, approached through a labyrinth of limestone formations known as “houses of ghosts,” is known for its temples and its good skiing. It  is also the venue of a summer cultural festival. The temples of Qalaat Faqra at 1,550 meters are the most extensive Roman ruins of all Mount Lebanon.

Finally and definitely not the last, my favorite “Get Away”s remain located around Faraya, Kfardebian, Bakish and Baskinta. I enjoy the sunset views from there and the peace of these places with the beautiful nature surrounding the area during all the seasons of the year.

Not to forget “The Lady of Lebanon -Harissa” standing on a height of 600 m, that overlooks the Jounieh bay with arms outstretched. Built and erected during the 19th century, the statue depicts the Virgin Mary and makes a major part of a sanctuary and can be reached via cable car.
